Abstract

As a result, solar photovoltaic systems are a globally used renewable energy source. However, rising solar panel temperatures are one factor contributing to solar systems' decreased efficiency. This phenomenon can be avoided by using a cooling fan. mounted on the solar panel's rear side. Unexpected events and bad weather also reduce the efficiency of the solar system. An Internet of Things (IoT) system was utilized to monitor the solar system's condition and regulate the cooling fan in order to solve this issue. Arduino was the primary microprocessor utilized in Internet of Things systems. An IoT system can be easily and affordably implemented with Arduino. Additionally, we can use a long-lasting supercapacitor to run the fans by adhering to the paradigm of using ESS (Energy Storage System) intelligently. After the system as a whole was designed and tested, its efficiency rose by about 4.7%. Despite having a modest 30W capacity, it is anticipated that its efficiency will rise soon when it is applied to a photovoltaic system larger than 1kW.
